Cold Rolled

Cold-rolled steel products are made from hot rolled steel, then flattened again without the use of heat, creating profiles which can then be formed, pressed or bent into very precise shapes.

The process is used in many sectors including construction, automotive, white goods, electrical components and lighting, as well as for roofing and wall applications.

Cold rolling is particularly used by car and vehicle manufacturers, to create components which require structural strength and can be used for multiple functions.

The former Cold Rolled Section Association became part of the CBM stable recently, so its members could receive enhanced levels of general industry advice, guidance on process improvements, and also the wider benefits of CBM membership.
