As promised, the Environment Agency has published further guidance concerning the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Energy Efficiency Scheme, with more to come. Even so, many companies are still confused and have not yet recognised the significance of the legislation and how it might affect them. It is very probable that you will have to take some action. This is a mandatory scheme and the penalties for failure to register by 30 September 2010 are a £5,000 fine and £500 per day until complete. Therefore, if you are in any doubt as to what you need to do, then please come along to this seminar to gain information on what you need to do to comply.
The CBM has already run two explanatory events to review the guidelines and describe the support available to members. You may not have been able to attend. Therefore, we intend to run one further session before the CRC officially begins on 1st April. Additionally, at this seminar we will be showing a demonstration of the registration form so that you can gain an insight into what information you will need to collate to enable you to make the required registration. This will also enable you to discuss any queries with CBM staff.
To make the best use of your time, we will include an update on the reporting procedure for Milestone 5 of the current climate change agreements (CCA) and a review of the negotiations concerning the new climate change agreements. A simple agenda is given below.
The CRC Event will be held on Tuesday, 30th March. The event is restricted to members only, and there will be a charge of £25.53 +VAT (£30.00 inc VAT) per delegate. Please use the booking form to reserve your place(s).
